This Privacy Statement (together with our Terms of Use and any other documents referred to in it) sets out the basis on which VentureBlick Singapore Pte. Ltd. and its affiliates (hereinafter referred to as “VB”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) will collect, use and process any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us.

Capitalized terms used and not otherwise defined in this Privacy Statement shall have the corresponding meanings set forth in the Terms of Use.

The security of your Personal Data is important to us. We have taken reasonable steps to safeguard the Personal Data under our control against unauthorized access, disclosures and other similar risks. Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.

By using this website, you signify you have read and accepted this Privacy Statement. If you do not agree to this Privacy Statement, do not access or use this Website and refrain from submitting any Personal Data.

Personal Data” or “Personal Information” means any information, whether true or not, that can be used, alone or together with other data, to uniquely identify any individual. Examples of such Personal Information you may provide to us include (depending on the nature of your interaction with us) your name, identification card, passport or other identification number, telephone number(s), mailing address, email address and any other information relating to either yourself or any other individuals which you have provided us in any forms you may have submitted to us, or via other forms of interaction with you.

Anonymous Data”  We may also de-identify (removing identifying information), pseudonymize (replacing identifying information with numbers so that a key is needed to re-identify) and anonymize (irreversibly removing identifying information) your information and process it in an anonymous and aggregated form for other purposes than described above, for example, in research to improve our products.  This constitutes “Anonymous Data.”  We reserve the right to use and disclose Anonymous Data to third parties for research, analytic or strategic purposes.

Collection, use, and processing of your personal data

We collect your personal data when you provide it to us, such as when you complete forms on our Website, register to create an Account, when you correspond with us (e.g. via our website or email), and other situations in which you have chosen to provide information to us or when you respond to our request for additional Personal Data, our promotions and other initiatives. In providing any personal data to us, you warrant that such information is accurate and complete.
  2. We will retain control of, and responsibility for, the use of any personal data you disclose to us. Such data shall remain in our possession or the possession of data intermediaries acting on our behalf.

Purposes of collection, use, disclosure or processing of personal data

  1. All personal data and other information we collect may be used, disclosed and/or otherwise processed by VB for purposes including but not limited to:
    • responding to your enquiries or requests pursuant to your emails, telephone calls, faxes and/or submission of form(s);
    • carrying out your instructions or responding to and taking follow-up action on requests and complaints;
    • observing any legal, government or regulatory requirements of Singapore or other relevant jurisdiction including any disclosure or notification requirements to which any recipient of the data is subject;
    • to satisfy VB’s responsibility relating to ‘Know Your Customer’ (KYC) requirements;
    • performing office and operational administrative matters following your requests; or
    • seeking feedback and comments on VB’s business and operational matters.
    • to communicate with you. For example, if you have expressed an interest in a particular product or program, we will use your data to provide you with the requested information or to respond to questions.
    • to determine the approximate location of each user, calculate usage levels, diagnose server problems, and in general to administer the Services, in each case through use of a user’s IP address.
    • to improve, enhance or modify our business and the Services through data analysis, audits, security and fraud monitoring and prevention.
    • to aggregate information and create Anonymous Data, described below.
    • to perform other functions or processes described to the user at the time of collection of the Personal Data.
    • to contact you for any purpose related to the Websites and/or Services.
    • for customer service and follow-up purposes, including for the purposes of assessing customer satisfaction.

IP addresses

  1. When you use our website, we may collect and store information about your computer (including your IP address, operating system and browser type) for system administration. This is statistical data about our users’ browsing actions and patterns. This data could possibly lead to your identification, but we, and our data intermediaries, do not use such data to identify you except as authorised or required by law.

Cookies

  1. Our website uses cookies, some of which may collect your personal data, to distinguish you from other users of our website. This assists to increase efficiency when you browse our website and also allows us to improve our website.

  1. Our website may, from time to time, contain links to and from third party websites. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. Disclosure of your personal data

By interacting with us including through electronic mail message or phone conversations, accessing and using VB websites, intranet or portal or submitting information to us, you agree and consent that we may have to disclose or share amongst ourselves your personal data to any member of our group or to third parties such as our service providers and professional advisors. Your personal data will not be disclosed to any further parties, unless we have obtained your consent or are legally required to do so.

We may disclose your Personal Data where we believe we are required to do so for the compliance and protection purposes described in this Privacy Policy, or in order to comply with any court orders or other applicable laws. VentureBlick cooperates with government and law enforcement officials to enforce and comply with the law. We may therefore disclose personal information, usage data, message data, and any other information about you, if we deem that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process (such as a subpoena or court order), or enforceable governmental request; (b) enforce the terms and conditions of use, including investigation of potential violations thereof; (c) detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues; or (d) protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of VentureBlick, its users or the public, as required or permitted by law.
  3. We use third party analytics vendors to evaluate and provide us with information about your use of the Website. We do not share your information with these third parties, but theses analytics service providers may set and access their own cookies, pixel tags and similar technologies on the Website and they may otherwise collect or have access to information about you which they may collect over time and across different websites. Some parts of our Website use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google. Google Analytics uses cookies to analyze use patterns and may collect information about your use of the website, including your IP address. More information on Google Analytics can be found here.   4. We reserve the right to transfer Personal Data to service providers, advisors, potential transactional partners, or other third parties in connection with the consideration, negotiation, or completion of a corporate transaction in which we are acquired by or merged with another company, reorganize our business, or we sell, liquidate, or transfer all or a portion of our assets. However, any information that a user submits or that is collected after that transaction may be subject to the privacy policy adopted by the successor entity.

Where we store your personal data

  1. The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside Singapore and/or United Kingdom (UK) or the European Economic Area (“EEA”). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the UK or the EEA who work for Us or for one of our suppliers. It may also be processed by staff operating outside Singapore, UK and/or the EEA who work for us or for one of our service providers which does not have the same data protection laws as the United Kingdom and EEA.
  2. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. VB will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Statement.

  1. We take appropriate precautions to protect your Personal Data. We are continually monitoring the effectiveness of our security system while constantly refining and upgrading our security technology and procedures to ensure maximum protection.

Data retention

  1. We retain personal data for as long as necessary for the fulfilment of the purposes for which it was collected or to which you have given your consent, except where otherwise provided by law.

You have the right to withdraw consent to, or request access to or correction of, erasure of personal data that VB holds about you in accordance with applicable laws, object at any time to processing of personal data concerning you for direct marketing object to decisions being taken by automated means which produce legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affect you, object in certain other situations to our continued processing of your personal data, otherwise restrict our processing of your personal data in certain circumstances, claim compensation for damages caused by our breach of any data protection laws.

Please note that in some circumstances we may store your Personal Data for longer periods of time, for example (i) where we are required to do so in accordance with legal, regulatory, tax or accounting requirements, or (ii) for us to have an accurate record of your dealings with us in the event of any complaints or challenges, or (iii) if we reasonably believe there is a prospect of litigation relating to your Personal Data or dealings.

The General Data Protection Regulation and the UK GDPR also gives you right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular (under the GDPR) in the European Union (or European Economic Area) state where you work, normally live or where any alleged infringement of data protection laws occurred.
